The Anglia Tool Centre Show
Anglia Tool Centre Show
The Anglia Tool Centre Show was a great show to go to, situated in Bury it was one of our local shows. This year though, they have moved to Pampisford and taken the show there. On Friday 20th April Mick and I took ourselves off to see what was different this year.
This show is primarily aimed at the trade with some very nice kit on display, Milwaukee had some impressive tools on display and Mick tried them all, impressive as they were the equally impressive prices meant that we left with out buying one. We did however enter the draw for a brand new quad bike; if I win it I will bring it along to a club night!
Stanley De Walt, Snickers, Spax Screws, Sheppach, Metabo Trend and many more were there. There were none of the cheap tools we got from Ally Pally and Detling; this was aimed at the serious user. Neither were there the demonstrators we meet at most shows, so it was a show with a different emphasis to the ones we usually frequent.
The Anglia Tool Centre has always offered refreshments and this year they forewent the usual burger van and had a proper cafeteria offering burgers and jacket potatoes for lunch.
Not only was all this free, entry and lunch, but we came away with a nice collection of goodies, ranging from a Stanley knife blade, various jigsaw blades and a Hi Vis jacket plus a nice hold all to put it all in.
This was a morning out, rather than a day out, but well worth going and we plan to go again next year.
